The tour starts with a pick-up from Vasia Boulevard hotel in
Hersonissos, and will take you on a circular route around the
mountains & traditional villages that lie above the town of Malia.
Taking the asphalt road, we will climb to the first village of Mohos,
with panoramic views of the north coast, and continue on to the
reservoir where we can see the sunken village of Sfedili. Next stop is
the iconic village of Avdou, where there are stunning views of
Angeles gorge, nesting site of the vultures flying high above us. Then
on to the village of Gonies and the beginning of a steep climb that
take us to the monastery of Kera village. Lastly, before the long
downhill road back to Malia, is the beautiful village of Krasi and its
amazing 2500 year old plane tree.
